This is the same concept as the "rework box" but without the enclosed space of the box not needed for low voltage wiring. I bought a flexible tongue retainer from a local store that was utterly useless. The ONLY way to secure it was to cut a perfect hole and even then if you had to access or loosen any of it after initial installation it would come loose. This mount does the job. Have I seen ailments that are difficult to isolate? I do not understand that. Look, I think a pattern would be nice, but not a deal breaker. It's too easy, just measure the outside edges of the recess, measure with a pocket level, cut a hole, install the bracket, check the function with a pocket level, tighten the tabs with the screw, and you're done! :) And the hole doesn't have to be perfect, you have a little wiggle room for adjustment to line up the strut if needed.
