Counterfeit or poor quality

ok it took me a while to find out this is fake. Or maybe it's just the new normal for Bialetti. I have read many reviews and seen those 1 star reviews saying they are fake. But I decided to give it a try, hoping that this isn't my case. NOT RIGHT. Here are a few notes: 1 The tri-color model changed from red to orange on the bottom when first used. There is a special little instruction (btw they accidentally put two of these in the box) that says you should ALWAYS use low heat on the stovetop to avoid discoloration. (LOL what?!) 2 No further instructions provided (people mention online that the original packaging has first use instructions saying you need to discard the first 3 infusions etc.). 3 There are no spare seals in the box (I think there should be 4. The funnel seems cheap, and most importantly the holes in it are too big, even coarsely ground coffee easily gets into the lower water tank, let alone fine ground espresso. ;5 The metal finish isn't exactly what I saw online, it's not that bad and it was hard to tell at first glance, but I researched more closely and yes, see good old Bialetti moka pans don't look like they're on the inside;6 The stamp on the button is only partially visible, and there are other reviews saying the same thing (the ones I looked at in the Target Store have the same problem, I can't see , which is written on the bottom) 7 The tricolor pot should have a black color logo, according to the website bialetti com, a white one.8 The logo painting quality is poor - the white fill is not solid (see photo)9 There are no round S temple on the inside of the lids10 Aluminum has changed color inside from oxidation after first use - that may be good, but torment us, I hope it's safe to drink from; Result: return and see where to buy a real pot made in Italy. No luck so far. Hopefully it's not just because poor quality has become the new Bialetti norm.
