I just took them out of the box but they seem to be decently built. The plastic is nice and thick and rotates easily while sitting on my countertop (empty). However I will be returning them as both Lazy Susan have tons of fine scratches on the underside and where white paint rings have worn off like these used ones. There are also scratches on the sides and there are thin tears on one of the sides. The hair scratches definitely look like they have been used and not a few stains from shipping. It's hard to tell from the photos I've posted, but you can see them right where the light is shining. UPDATE: I sent back the first set and asked for a replacement. The second set looks the same: TONS of hairline scratches on the bottom and sides, and small white rings that are scratched in places on the bottom. I've considered keeping them as as I said they seem to be well made and only meant to be kept in the pantry but they look seriously second hand. Changed my original 2 star rating to 1 star.
