Review on 🔌 NGK (8916) RC-TE58 Spark Plug Wire Set: Reliable Performance for Ultimate Engine Efficiency by Tyler Dorsey

I received my NGK Wireset as shown in the photos. The brown paper wrapper squeezed the package a little even when I opened the wire. It looked like it had already been used! I hope this is what all the wires look like outside of the package, a little dusty (with a whitish coating on the wires). However, they work well. I was concerned about the functionality of the wires when trying to connect an incompatible (maybe the right one, I didn't want to force it and break new wires) Champion spark plug to it and it didn't fit. I added 7092 NGK. and he right clicked. It's a different kind of clicking noise compared to the OEM, so just compare the two to see if it's actually secure and connecting. It's quite long for an overview of the spark plug wire, but I want to make sure everything is open as I saw it and how I opened it, so I've added a photo. My car is a Toyota Rav4 2000 2WD no distributor car and it was just plug and play for my vehicle. I have had p304 and p300 i think due to random misfire and misfire in 4th cylinder. I pulled my #4 spark plug and there was oil on the threads of the old plug and compared to all the other plugs this one was a lot oilier. I then thought of the first few causes: leaking valve cover, spark plug boot gasket, but based on where the oil was (threads) I figured it might be something deeper (piston rings, valves, etc.). new NGK 7092 spark plugs and only hand tightened the spark plug in cylinder #4 to check and then removed it to check the oil. I've already seen some oil on the threads so that's a good indicator that some oil got into cylinder #4. That detail aside, I connected all 4 wires and connectors to the motor and now it runs like clockwork! no misfires when idling or while driving. drives like a new car! I haven't used it long, so I can't comment on that yet. After that I will update my review.
