Review on Belkin USB PERIPHERAL SWITCH F1U401 by Doug Twilights

I bought a Belkin switch to connect 4 computers to one printer but some systems didn't recognize the device as valid let alone connect to the printer manufactured. It works on some laptop models (Dell) but not on Sony or HP models. Tried updating drivers, cutting USB cables, printers from two different manufacturers, but nothing worked. I fiddled around with the thing for 2 weeks and finally ordered a device from IOgear again. I received the device, connected the machines, everything was recognized without any problems. contacted Belkin and they offered solutions to the problem but no one solved it. In hindsight, the IOGear device is the best solution since you can toggle the device from a computer (using the software that comes with it) or by pressing a button on the switch. The Belkin device is switched through software only.
