I've seen a lot of people wonder why it has an external USB port if it doesn't have its own power supply, and I just wanted to address that. As long as your humidifier is plugged in (powered), you can charge your phone or whatever by plugging it into the humidifier's USB port. So you can cheer on the little guy and plug in something else, almost like an extension cord, if you like. A little pricey in my opinion but seems to work well / decently solidly made.
