Review on Gorilla Original Waterproof Polyurethane Bottle Tapes, Adhesives & Sealants by Shawn Jimenez

Great waterproof glue but not perfect for all purposes

This glue is great for well made connections and gives you enough "open time" to seat the terminals properly and line up the connection perfectly. I love this glue and use it most of the time. When used correctly, it creates bonds that are stronger than wood. This glue is used as the standard glue by some professional carpenters, which is a pretty good recommendation. On the other hand, I use an alpha glue for well-made joints on non-greasy woods where I don't need a setting time. like Titebond II. It dries faster, cleans easier and (in my experience) is just as durable. Gorilla Glue is a great construction adhesive. I like to use it when the seam isn't perfect because it fills in gaps and makes the seam waterproof. However . The glue only really sticks where the parts fit snugly, so it's a way to reinforce a connection that's held mechanically (e.g. with screws). Don't expect strength and gap filling at the same time from this adhesive. I don't often mix nails and glue because the hammer can push the glue out and leave voids on the rebound. presentable appearance. If high strength + gap filling is required, epoxy can be used. If you need moderate strength + gap filling + high allowable movement, use structural adhesive. If you just need to fill in the gaps, you can use sealant or wood spatula.
