Before purchasing, I just visited the Kohler website and saw a simple installation guide. I had to click on youtube before ordering and confirmed I could get the old one. The videos on YouTube are more truthful and correctly point out that there is little chance of removing the old hose. The instructions say: press the hose, grab the plastic holder and pull the hose down. I pressed it, the plastic latch rested on the saddle and the hose stayed tight in the receiver. I called Kohler, waited 15 minutes and got customer service. He told me to grab the plastic with pliers. As YouTube predicted, the plastic simply broke. He told me to check. As predicted by YouTube, the remaining bezel on the plastic mount broke. Kohler is sending me another whole crane. The contractor who installed our quartzite studs 4 years ago installed the faucet by tightening the retainer on the bottom of the stud. I reefed it as best as I could and although there is no visible corrosion anywhere I can't unscrew it. Buying this faucet was a big mistake. We don't pull it out often, and a broken hose under the sink caused flooding to the lower floor. This is bad design and I don't really know how to recover. Terrible design with too many jumps. Do not order this hose. First check the distance.
