Review on πŸ“ Enhance Precision with the Versatile 2 in 1 Step Depth Gauge for Router and Table Saw by Christopher Pfaffe

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good idea, bad execution

I like the general idea of this depth gauge, but it has design flaws that limit its use. Both pressure gauges must lie flat on the saw table. The problem is that the "legs" are too narrow and placed near the lowest "notches" in height to prevent one of them from getting into the space between the blade and the edge of the hole in the blade insertion plate. at least on my table saw. . This will likely work if you use an insert with no gap. If they added just 1/2 inch more to the legs on either side the problem would be solved. Otherwise use is limited to blade height notches closer to the center of the gauge. The gauge goes, the holes are 3/4" or smaller so the gauge cannot wrap around a 3/4" or larger diameter bit. of money.
