I love these boots. I have a pair of Keen Atlanta Cool steel toe boots for summer work and have found them to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I would wear my safety toe shoes every day, at work or not. I even started wearing them on camping trips. As it got colder, I started wearing warmer and warmer socks because I didn't want to switch to my clunky heavy boots. I decided it was time for a winter pair of Keen's so I researched my options and settled on these Lansings. Height is a compromise. They are larger than the cool Atlanta shoes but don't fully cover my ankle. They don't offer as much support as taller boots, but the added elastic laces allow them to slip off without unraveling, which is very useful in my line of work (transition between construction site and finished parts of a house). all day). Just like my other Keens, they are so comfortable that I wear them all day to work and then on weekends when I'm hiking or walking around town. No long term report yet, but my other Keens have outlasted previous sketchers and wolverine work shoes by more than double so I have high hopes.
