Do not use on painted surfaces in direct sunlight!

Very disappointed! Do not use Trimaco Drape & Tape in areas exposed to direct sunlight. I used it to coat a boat motor and the sun seemed to break down some of the chemicals in the plastic (but not some of the tape). Traces were visible in places where the plastic upholstery came into contact with the paintwork of the engine. I wasn't able to remove the residues with conventional cleaners and I don't want to damage the engine paintwork with more aggressive cleaners.
