Review on πŸ’§ Stainless Steel SinkShroom Ultra: The Revolutionary Bathroom Sink Drain Protector by Lakshmi Pennington

Works great unless the adapter comes loose or lost.

I have a shower and a sink. I had my shower installed a few months ago and the sink a little over 1 month old. A few days ago I noticed that when you pull out the shower tray to clean it, the rubber adapter comes loose and stays in the drain. Not a big problem as the tub that houses the shower has a latch so the adapter ring cannot be washed off. While it's a bit annoying to reattach it every time, it wasn't that much of a problem. That is, until I checked the flushing comb and found that its adapter was completely missing. I don't know when that happened, and with the sink, it's possible (though unlikely) that it fell into the P-trap. Whoever remodeled the sink before I bought the house installed the siphon/sink in such a way that the P siphon wasn't available. Genius. In general, these are good things that I liked. However, after only a few months of regular use (in US standard sizes), I don't think I should have these issues with either product (one is now useless and the other annoying). The adapter doesn't seem to work. be the most important part. Without them, the central core and apex do very little. Without this part, the devices are practically useless. The manufacturer sells replacement packs for about $6, but they don't sell them on Revain, and at that price I'm sure I can find a complete (lower quality) product that doesn't have this problem. So if you get one and it fits well so you don't think you need to use a different size adapter, I'd recommend a dab of super glue or something to hold that bad boy in place. You're hunchbacked without him.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Some nuances
