Review on Authentic Sashiko Template: Traditional Japanese Dishcloth for Premium Quality by Barbara Simmons

I discovered Sashiko while looking for ways to mend clothes. I've watched a few videos and experimented a bit myself using regular embroidery thread, but decided to try one of these kits to practice more on a particular needle technique. I'm halfway through my first kitchen napkin and I really like it. The guide requires some thought to understand its translation, but it's not that bad, and if you're really stuck there are hundreds of good YouTube videos you can check out with a simple search. Most importantly, you get great starting materials with this kit. I really like Japanese style thimbles, I started using them sometimes for my regular embroidery as well. I love the special sashiko thread and this kit gives you a lot of trouble so I've already started using some sashiko for other projects. All in all a fantastic starter pack to play and learn with!
