Review on ๐Ÿชš Black & Decker RO410 Sander Replacement Backing Pad (2 Pack) - Part # 587295-01-2pk by Fred Massingill

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So one day you got an orange grinder from Walmart.

That's it. They will NOT fit until you start modifying the roller and grinder. Step 1. Get a grinder or grinder or something that will remove the 2 protruding rings on this new velcro replacement part. Step 2. There are 4 screws, remove them. and expose 4 holes and 4 dowel pins. Pay special attention to the black plastic piece that sits on top of the grinder. You can dig it out by lifting the edges, or take a razor and cut out the middle. If you were paying attention, the black piece is very important and has a small issue that needs to be addressed. THE CENTER RISES. Step 3: Cut out the raised center with a razor knife or again take the plastic grinder and chip off the raised center. Now some of the holes can be sealed with melted plastic. Cut out these holes with your razor to fit the grinder again. Step 4. Line up the pins and put the screws back in the lucky finish! Failure to do this will result in 2 things: 1. The grinder will not turn properly, it will just vibrate and create a lot of friction. So it's important to leave the black part on the grinder and remove the raised center piece. Think of it like a washer or spacer to leave enough room for the grinder to move.2. If you don't grind down the new roller, your bolts won't match and it will rise so much that dust will go everywhere but the vacuum hole. REASON NUMBER ONE is that when you sand the roller, the black plastic disc is pressing against the roller giving you a cambered NOT flat grinder which basically renders it useless. To be honest, if I didn't have 2 of these, both would need new roles. I would throw it away, buy a Walmart House brand grinder and wait for it to fall apart for $20. My orange grinders have lived a long life but once the hooks fail to hold the paper they are utterly useless. Due to the wear and tear of hook and loop plates I would never consider buying a more expensive grinder of any kind.
