I was very excited about these shoes after reading and looking at the reviews! I really wanted to have faster shoes. I ran about 60 miles in it (not all at once). They were a bit tight for the first few miles and I thought maybe they would calm down. But after a longer run (about 13 miles) my big toenail hurt terribly. That night I took off my sock and my black nail. When I look at my right boot, I see that the tip of my big toe is caught on the toe of my boot. And already wears a hole inside the boot. The left shoe is fine. The shoes are not high enough at the front of the toe. I'm not sure if buying a larger size might solve the problem. Maybe my right foot is a bit bigger than my left but I really think there is something wrong with this shoe. I missed the return window, but maybe buying them a half or full size larger than what you're used to will help the next person. For reference I have a size 11 Brooks Equal, Suacony Mad River Tr, New Balance 560s? , New Balance fuel cell boots and New Balance 880v9 sneakers and they are all fine. It's just that these NB Rebels are too small. Apart from the set-up, the handling seems good, I've noticed, especially when I pick up the pace, they have good feedback. At lower speeds, they're not much different from most running shoes, but they're nice and light. Traction is good as I often ride in light snow or icy/muddy terrain here in the Northeast. I think they're good shoes, just a pity I didn't buy them a little more often than usual.
