Review on 🔌 E3D Thermistor Cartridge SEMITEC 50 MOLEX - Authentically Genuine by Ben Diesel

When I switched to a real e3d hotend I thought it would be nice to get a real thermistor too. Sure, it costs the same as a pack of three cheap thermistors, but it's the real deal! Right? Not correct. This thing is as strong as a dandelion. After installing everything (and I was careful with that!), updating the firmware and even running the PID autotune, I started getting the MINTEMP error. The thermistor showed 0C on the block. I double checked my installation and found no problems. I discovered the problem when I wiggled the wires to the thermocouple and magically brought the temperature back. The slightest injury can cause an open circuit. I love what e3d tried to do with modularity and cool cable insulation, but can't believe they put their name on this piece of junk. I requested a refund on the day of installation.
