I needed a mattress for a quick surprise trip and where I stayed there was only room for a bunk bed. I'm NOT a petite guy so the idea of an air mattress for a few days and also separate beds didn't excite me, but this bed really surprised me. I filled it up and left it for a few hours to stretch as instructed, only needed a small amount of air and then didn't have to turn on the pump for the rest of my stay. It should be noted that you can inflate a little. When I first lay down, the mattress was a little oval so it rocked from side to side, but I just turned the dial to deflate for a second or two and it straightened up immediately, without the Losing the firmness I wanted. Finally, I liked that there is some oatmeal around the edges when you lay it down. I'm not used to a double mattress and was afraid I'd land on the floor, but if you roll over you'll find that you feel a small raised area along the edge of the mattress rather than the edge folding in and you allowed roles. I'm glad I tried this product.
