My 11 year old can't leave the house without a sketchbook and pencils. She expects to only use half of the pages since the marker will show through, but she chose to put a piece of paper behind the page she used. They are of good quality for a child. I don't know if these are "professional" qualities, but they work well for her doodles and sketches. She uses pencils, markers, gel pens and more, all of which suit her well.
