I don't use them for high speed rotary tools. Wire brushes over 10,000 rpm are never a good idea unless they are designed for it. The average grinder spins at 3600 rpm. And brush wheels designed for that use spit wires at you. Even a "famous brand" will fall apart at higher speeds. I use them in power drills to remove rust and other deposits from carburetors on small engines (lawn mowers). I use a lot of mug and straight brushes. Cups turn into a ball and straight into a cotton ball no matter what brand they are. This is a straight wire that twists in a circle. They work just like the others at a great price. Just be aware of your limitations.
