Great Stand! best in my review

I'm really happy to find this cool and functional cat stand! It makes a great cubby space where I've already seen my cat hanging out. I also like that I can add a pad on top and another cat can sit up there. I've positioned this stand under my vintage windows which hang down lower to the ground and it makes the perfect perch for them to sit on and birdwatch.I know these D-I-Y units can be really intimidating so I decided to take some photos as I went. I've included some step-by-step instructions below since this piece can be a bit confusing until you get the hang of it.I love the mid-century look to this stand. It's unlike anything else I have as I tend to go with Bohemian styles but this makes an eclectic and functional addition to my décor. I would totally recommend this to friends and family!Instructions:1. I like to layout all the parts and hardware first before starting so I know it's all there.photo 12. The base will receive 4 of these drop in screw receivers (I don't know what else to call them). You've got to be sure they're lined up so the hole is facing directly outward towards the drilled hole in the base.photo 23. Add the wood dowels and begin screwing in the screws. There's a small L shaped metal screw driver included with the hardware.photos 3-44. Once in place, line up the dowels and screws on the legs with the holes in the base. This is when you need to be sure the drop in screw receivers are positioned to receive the screws. (the receivers will "lock" around the screw ends when you turn them)photo 55. Use the screw driver to move turn receivers clockwise until the screws from the legs fit completely into the hole. Then tighten the receivers completely until you can't turn anymore.photo 66. You'll do the same on the left side of the base by adding the other leg. Insert the dowels and screws into the base making sure you line up the receivers with the screws until they fit snug and then tighten.photo 77. Next you'll add the foam protectors to the bottom of the legs by pealing back the white paper and pressing the foam pieces against the bottom of the legs. Press and hold for a few seconds to be sure they're secure.photo 8.8. Now stand the unit up on it's legs and insert the back panel pieces with the adjoining plastic spine piece into the slots on the back of the side pieces, to hold them in place.photo 9-109. Next insert the wooden dowels and screws into the top of both the left and right side of the stand.photo 1110. Be sure to install the screws into the top piece. Next insert the receivers into the inside holes of the side panels making sure they're lined up to receive the screws. Drop the top down into the corresponding holes, tightening the receivers as you do.photo 1211. The piece is near together, now you'll simply insert the front doors by tilting the top in towards the back of the unit. Place the bottom of the door into the front pathway and then pull the top towards you until it's securely in place.photo 13-1412. Last step! Now you'll add the small corner pieces and screws to the back of the unit. These will help the piece keep it's shape under stress. There are no receiving holes for these screws so I held the screw with a small pair of needle nose pliers but you can also use tweezers as a back up, while screwing the screws securely in place. There's a small lip on the plastic pieces and you want to be sure that slips into an available space between the white patterned back and the unit.photo 15That's it! Just place the pad inside or on top and you're ready to go.

This little table is so cute. There is a little pad that goes inside, for kitty to lounge on. It is at a decent height, and good for a small space. I did need help putting this together because one side kept falling and I was getting irate. I''m sure someone with more patience could put it together on their own though.
