I bought a JB-Weld Waterweld to seal the drip water fitting in a garage sink and am using it on a garden hose that hasn't been punctured but has had the plastic coating torn off the outer surface. It failed in shell application as it did not adhere to the area that needed sealing. There was no pressure at all, more like a hole with water flowing through it. I tried sliding it into the small hole and around the outside edges but it fell off with no holding power. It says it will cure underwater, but if it doesn't stick in place it's useless. I applied it to the hose and everything went well. I used it to surround the tubing area so it would stick to itself (the tubing had no hole and was dry), which it did. After about a week I noticed that it started to tear even though the hose wasn't moving or being stressed. I'm not sure if this will happen if it leaks when the hose comes loose and apply it as a precaution. I will update when this happens. I was expecting this to work as advertised on the packaging, but it doesn't. I do not recommend this.
