Review on Upgrade Your Display Setup with HP 27Q 🖥 Pavilion Monitor - VESA Mounting Bracket, LED, IPS (1HR73AA#ABB) by Alan Cross

First, I'm a software developer, so my monitor requirements aren't as extravagant as those of a gamer or professional digital artist. That being said, I'm picky about text clarity, screen size, and aesthetics, so I spent a few months researching. I was originally set for Dell's 38" or 34" ultrawide monitors, but ultimately settled on the utility of two 27" monitors for performance reasons. Dell. Here are my key considerations and why I chose the HP 27q: 1) IMAGE QUALITY (and backlight) At this price point, image quality doesn't vary much between most brands. While I didn't try this particular model in the store before purchasing, HP makes great monitors so Dell wasn't too concerned. Picture quality is fantastic, although the low backlight is very noticeable at night. I don't really care as I don't watch movies or do professional graphics/photography in my office. In fact, the grayscale on this monitor is fantastic, and it's usually the background color of my IDE (e.g. VS/VS Code). The displays are also in my solarium so that the light is not noticeable during the day and the brightness is optimal. I give the display 4/5 for picture quality for the price and for meeting MY needs. If you're looking for the amazing image quality you'll find in a photo studio, do yourself a favor and feel free to spend at least 1000. 2) AESTHETICS This is entirely subjective, but my office is in a solarium. with white walls and dark gray wooden floors. If I were in a typical office, I would choose Dell Ultrasharp for its bolder, more professional look. The HP 27q just looks cleaner and matches my office decor. 3) BENEFITS Dell wins by a wide margin here. Although the base of the HP 27q is made of high quality material, it cannot be adjusted other than tilting back and forth. I use a dual monitor mount for my setup so this wasn't an option for me. However, if you don't use any other mount, I recommend avoiding this model. **NOTE. This model includes a great VESA mount adapter. **4) PRICE was great. I wanted a high quality display that looks good but is as cheap as possible. I was lucky enough to purchase this HP 27q from Revain which sold for $210 and am planning on buying a second one soon. €280 is still a fair price. That being said, if you're looking to change up the look or need more utility at the base of your monitor, I'd also recommend checking out the 27-inch Dell Ultrasharp for around the same price.
