They are well made and work great. I used them to clear an illegal site for cutting rope, bungee cords, harnesses and tents. They work well, but in lightweight nylons like mesh and finely woven nylons, they get microvilli fibers in the blade gap and plastic seat. It is difficult to remove and affects the later function of the blade. I think they are for single use and for heavier materials like ropes and straps. Thinner material cuts but clogs. I give them to my volunteers to clean up the landfill. They are cheaper than knives and safer.
