For $16 I wasn't expecting much but as others have said it's not the most durable product so I suppose you'll want to use it as a heavy bar of soap or maybe , some decorative stones on the base as it's only plastic, no glass. Either that or you just have to balance your towels on it and probably never take one off to use it as it's already very heavy. My biggest problem was that the long screw connecting the base to the top was already broken and/or too short. Just when you're expecting it to tighten, it slips off and the whole thing becomes wobbly and loose. I considered sending it back for a refund but it wasn't worth the hassle. Instead I took some gorilla epoxy and glued on this suction cup. By the way, 5 stars for Gorilla Epoxy. I used this to glue broken pavers together because I didn't feel like buying another one and cutting it to length.
