I was afraid I would buy a refurbished modem/router. And I almost panicked when the default password connected to WiFi was "slowunit202". But everything worked without any problems. It works well. I had to register it with xfinity and their first reaction is that the repaired device must be bad. But if you are patient, you can do it. I am changing my rating again and removing 3 stars. It started making a faint noise while loading. Many websites have pointed out that the noise indicates a bad capacitor and that this device is on the way to being bricked. I replaced it.
