Review on Sunex 312PC 3/8-Inch Drive 3/8-Inch Male Pipe Plug Socket: Durable and Versatile Socket Tool for Plumbing Applications by Ronald Lunn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

MUCH better than using a hard drive extension.

I used to always use a ground ball 3/8 drive extension. I only understood the point of a special tool when I had a particularly stubborn transmission filler plug. The drive extension wanted to round off and pop out. When I finally managed to grab the extension it broke simply because it is hollow to fit the bullet. As soon as I received this tool in the mail, the connector came off easily. Saved my ass. Basically, it has sharper edges, isn't hollow, is made of a stronger material, and is also shorter so it won't warp when torque is applied. This means that the force required to loosen the connector appeared to be slightly less than what I had used a week earlier, causing my extension to break, likely because the tool that was flexing and twisting was losing less force. The right tool for the job always makes the job easier.
