I felt the need to write a review for this float valve. This new float valve replaces the old generic float valve on my cast iron water heater. I remember buying an old float vent at a regular hardware store about 6 years ago. Over the last few years I have constantly tried to remove air from the boiler system. I remember spending at least an hour and a half a week venting all three zones through their vents. No matter how hard I tried, no matter how many times I completely flushed the entire boiler system with a new jet of water without air, the air bubbles eventually returned. After replacing the old float valve with a new one from Revain, I repressurized my boiler system and turned on all zones in my boiler system to test this new float valve. To my amazement, I immediately heard a hiss, hiss, hiss from this new float port. He immediately removed the air. This new float valve took about 25 minutes to completely purge the air from my system. I am completely satisfied with this product. I'll never have to bleed the boiler system again! No more gurgling noises from my radiators!
