If this ratchet puller could be compared to an animal, it would be a rhino. He arrived June 14-16, 2016 after traveling to Virginia from California. I tracked it all the way and was very impressed with the delivery time. Unboxing it, I was relieved to see that my $363.40 had been invested in a solid piece of steel and cast iron that would easily outlive me. While looking at cheaper versions, I thought back to the days when I bought the Yeti cooler and thought I'd lost my mind for paying that much, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for. Cheap, low-quality products tend to cost more in the long run, so you can also get something that lasts AND does what it promises. I'd never owned a device like this before, so I attached it to my truck's tailgate, read the instructions, played around with the release mechanisms, and decided to give it a try. I had some stumps that were about ten years old because the trees were blown away in a storm. The trees had long since been felled and used, but the stumps lay perpendicular to the ground and could not be moved with hands. To make the short story long, they were moved. A few others are still in the ground but would require a bulldozer to move them and I wasn't expecting this ratchet puller to do the impossible. Now it's stowed in my truck and ready to go on my next fishing adventure out to the Outer Banks where someone's bound to get stuck in the soft sand. This item saves the day and $150 in towing bills.
