. I have a 2005 Chevy Astro van. Not sure if the driver's side mirror was replaced or not, but I removed the old glass to find a new mirror didn't fit the recess 100%. Knowing this, I would leave the broken glass and stick it right on top of it. After I removed the plastic brace and filed the edge down with a razor (very funny), the rear brace no longer had a raised edge and the mirror looks great. Very clear, much more so than a similar product that I recently bought to replace a mirror on a Hyundai Elantra. I still give it 5/5 because I love the result. Leave the old glass there if you can and just glue it on top. The price was right and I am very happy that I have a mirror again. Astro vans have huge blind spots, they rely on mirrors a lot more than you think.
