I recently ruined three steaks for Mother's Day. My star thermometer has gone insane. I measured the steaks with increasing frequency as they hit 100 degrees. I removed them immediately after the reading read 130. I left them on the bowl outside of the oven for my usual 20 minutes so they wouldn't bleed as I cut them. The idea is that it will continue to cook until 135 and soak up the juices again. To my disappointment they were all well done and the thermometer went into the bin. That's all about Prime. The Honeydrill is now my first line of defense and works exactly as calibrated out of the box. Rare is rare. The honey drill can reach the center and near bone with accurate results.
