Not WATERPROOF AT ALL; A DISAPPOINTING FIND!

After trying this product, I was not impressed .While the foldable design is convenient for storage, the THERMOMETER is not at all waterproof as advertised. This made it difficult and frustrating to use in my Home and Kitchen, especially when cleaning it after use. The one advantage is that it does provide accurate temperature readings. unfortunately, the cons heavily outweigh the pros, and I would not recommend this product..

Long enough for a 5 inch probe

I recently ruined three steaks for Mother's Day. My star thermometer has gone insane. I measured the steaks with increasing frequency as they hit 100 degrees. I removed them immediately after the reading read 130. I left them on the bowl outside of the oven for my usual 20 minutes so they wouldn't bleed as I cut them. The idea is that it will continue to cook until 135 and soak up the juices again. To my disappointment they were all well done and the thermometer went into the bin. That's all…
