This product endured a 3,300 mile trip at about 80 MPH from the Midwest to the West and back, including through Utah, Wyoming and Nebraska during a winter storm. It faired well and did not leak. I did notice that our gas mileage was a little lower than usual, probably due to the fact that a cargo bag is not as aerodynamic as a hard-shell cargo box. But it was definitely worth the money. I saw no leakage or wear and tear on the bag. The only problems we had were that we needed to tie the straps together to keep them from flapping in the wind and making a loud slapping sound on the roof, and it was difficult to load and unload the cargo bag on top of our SUV every night as we stayed in different hotels owing to the fact that the roof is difficult for short people to get to on an SUV. Also, we bought a rubber mesh mat to go between the cargo bag and the roof of the SUV. Since I didn't move the luggage rack crossbars, the cargo bag was partly on the roof, and partly on top of the luggage rack bars, rather than completely on the roof. That little elevation on the crossbars meant that I had to store the luggage in the cargo bag carefully so that the rubber mesh mat didn't slide backward during the trip.
