Direction was poor but most of the parts didn't fit or some of the parts were too long, the screws weren't long enough Hold the part that bolted to another part, sufficiently strong bolts will pop out, even with support. I didn't send it back as a replacement was urgently needed. I just took it apart and remade the whole table to make it useful. I had to cut the last stabilizing piece to fit and cut another board to reinforce the table because you need to be able to put weight on it to write and rest your hands on the table. I suspect the good reviews got a better table than me, paid to have the item shipped and/or it was assembled prior to receipt. I'm not calling anyone but I really don't understand how each deck can be so different due to being mass produced from China. Next time I'll just buy wood and build it myself. I have a small scale. Took 3 1/2 hours to figure it out and recover.
