Review on The Evolution of Acrylic Paints: Discover the Ultimate Guide to the New Generation of Acrylics by Karla Richter

I only wanted to write a review because the title doesn't give you much information about what's in the book - I only bought it because I love acrylics and There aren't many books out there on the subject compared to other media. Most of the book is about textured acrylics - acrylics that have been thickened with mediums. They begin by showing you lots of images of obscure working methods, like cutting sheets of painted (dry) acrylic gel into squares to create a mosaic, or how to make a stained glass window out of clear acrylic. This is a very good book to learn about paint itself, what it is made of, the effects that can be achieved through manipulation, how to make screenprints, monoprints and acrylic transfers. You will not find any flower pictures in this book! If you love acrylics, this book will help you broaden your horizons. :)
