Voltage wires in electrician tester

The device I received only has 2 wires without the yellow wire - I sent it back and requested one as shown in the picture (with 3 wires, black, red and yellow, but I received the unit again without the yellow cable - the instructions also show how to connect the yellow cable - I bought another unit and will keep it on the shelf.

Cons

I don't really like it everything is fine
