This is our first pair of Hatley wellies. I ordered these for our 2 year old son. He wears a size 7 toddler shoes so I ordered a size 8 toddler shoes thinking he could wear them longer. When the Hatley boots arrived they were perfect! Runs true to size and as all shoes walk, a bit large (maybe 1/4 inch long compared to my son's regular shoes). They are well made and lightweight. My 2 year old son was able to put them on and walk without slipping. Because of the extra room to grow while they loosen when worn, but at age 2 my son is moving around so this doesn't happen often.
