After changing the screen door latch on my 5th Montana bike several times, I finally bought it as a replacement. I wish I had done that sooner. This is the perfect replacement for the 285 RPM latch. It comes with all mounting hardware although I have not used it as it fits perfectly. All of the previous holes matched and all I had to do was make sure the hardware matched that latch. When installing, ensure that the latch that holds the handle when the door is connected to the main door is set correctly. I didn't, and when I closed the main door the latch on the screen door was still locked and I had trouble opening the main door. Had to use a hanger to unlock the screen handle. This is not easy when the main door is closed. This is an all-metal fastener, the accessories that come with the kit are made of plastic. I have a feeling this latch will not fail like the plastic latches of the past. The hardware is the latch that it hooks onto and the latch that holds the latch when connected to the main door. I only give 4 stars because of the price. If it never fails, it will be rated 5 stars.
