I love these bags. I vacuum pack charcuterie, ginger, herbs and anything else I want to keep in the fridge longer. I put my cured meats in a storage bag (not fully sealed) and then put it in a vacuum bag. When I seal the vacuum bag, air is also removed from the storage bag. And I don't have to worry so much about reusables not being cleaned perfectly. I clean them but I know the corners are good because of the juices which I might not have cleaned completely if I put the food straight into the vacuum bag. Double pack helps.
