My entertainment console is compact and takes about 1/2" vertically to fit under my receiver. Knowing ventilation would be an issue, I originally planned to install some CPU fans to keep everything cool, but then I saw this. So I cut holes (when the woman wasn't looking) in the top of the console to mount the Aircom fans, placed the Aircom on top and set it to auto cool. This has worked very well so far - the thermostat automatically switches the device on and off correctly - and there is almost no heat build-up. On the slowest setting I use, the audio is very quiet and unnoticeable when watching/listening. This thing looks like a DVD player and feels right at home on a console. It's solid too, I wouldn't have a problem putting other heavy equipment on it.
