I had a blue lacrosse roller and was trying to get some lacrosse balls when I came across a beast ball. The transparent one is just as hard in terms of hardness as the blue roller - hard, but not too hard. It penetrates where the roar does not penetrate. It's also very portable, so I take it with me almost everywhere. Despite the price, the ball gets 5 stars. I haven't found much use for the base. I'm not interested enough to wall mount it and if I need to lift it off the floor I would just use a roller. You might find a use for it, but I'll probably pick two critters without a stand for just $10 more. I recommend a softer transparent animal. I've received two more packs of 1 each and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to use yellow. Warning: Don't leave it in the car on a hot day. It melts and softens a bit. Still works great but it's pretty obvious compared to new.
