I can't believe I've waited so long to get LEDs in my ceiling. I have 21 recessed lights with 50W halogen bulbs. When the glass fell out of one and burned the carpet, I knew I had to switch to LED. I read many reviews and chose this one. I ordered a pack of 10 to start and everything was perfect. Besides, they came in one day. After installing them, I ordered ten more and they also arrived the same day. In addition, everything worked great. The two pictures show the right bulb LED and the left one is the old halogen. The right image is dimmed while the left image is at full power. They don't hum, they don't flicker. If you turn them on when they're completely dark, it takes a second for the LED to light up, but that's the only difference I've found between them and halogen. Of course positive differences like 7 watts instead of 50 watts and temperature difference. I don't want the bulbs to get so hot that they fall apart and burn out on the carpet like I did with the halogen. I used a laser thermometer and the halogen thermometer was 224 degrees and the LED was 102 degrees at full power. Now when I have 20 LEDs at full power it's 140w instead of the old 1000w halogens. Also I'm not afraid they will fall apart and burn the floor. This is quality and I can only recommend them! There is no disadvantage! $2 for a lightbulb, buy it.
