Review on Electric scooter MIDWAY i- Max PRO gray (18000 mAh, up to 40 km/h, 600 W) by Stoyan Stoyanov ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing special, there are positives and negatives.

I'll write a review, maybe it will be useful to someone. In general, I would give the scooter 3 plus, not 3, but the Market evaluation functionality is limited. Got it in grey! Let's start with the cons. Most of all I do not like the presence of backlash in the front fork. Only after unpacking and pressing the front brake handle, I was extremely surprised by the presence of such (! ) backlash, and in all directions: forward - backward, right - left. I immediately wanted to minimize it. Wrote official representative, I ask if this is normal? To which I was told "the backlash of the fork is calculated at the factory. " I sit and think how it is possible to calculate what, in principle, should not be! Other manufacturers think about how to get away from the backlash or minimize it - they put double shock absorbers, increasing the number of support points (I compared scooters - you practically don’t feel it) or don’t use it at all like on Ninebots or Xiaomi . . because they understand that this is primarily safety! and in Midway the backlash is calculated! For some reason, none of the YouTube reviews mentioned this. It is a pity that the scooter does not have a mechanical rear brake - I would only use it, reducing the use of the front to a minimum. Fortunately, the scooter has a recuperation function and it would be nice to replace the lack of a rear brake, but for this it needs to be configured using an application that does not want to be paired with me. The phone (both on iOS and Android) does not see the scooter as Midway, but it defines the scooter as KSQscooter (! ) (The same question: what other ** scooter? . ) And there is an application in the market for this manufacturer. After downloading it, the phone immediately connected and you get access to the settings of your scooter. But! Not as extended as if it were from the office. application. For example, there is no recuperation setting function. I read it from the officials, they promised to finish the application by the summer. Will wait.

Pros
  • Eat :) Travel range (high-capacity battery with BMS) The presence of an application (which does not pair with the phone. At least for me) Folding mechanism Long deck front shock absorber Decent clearance for this class of (urban) electric scooters Perceptible throttle response Presence of recuperation (when the Midway application is running) Cruise control The presence of a gift in the form of a phone holder
Cons
  • There are disadvantages too :) Front fork play Weight (lack conditional) Creaks Shock absorber knocks on the bump stop Knocks inside the deck (until I figured out exactly what the problem is) There is an application, but all the same that it is not there - it does not connect.
