I bought these in May to replace a 30 year old master lock on my shed that was very old but needed replacing. The new lock worked great and was easy to open. That is, until the temperature drops below 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Since it hadn't rained for several days, the lock was dry and I opened it the day before. When I went out to open the shed the lock froze and I couldn't even get the key in. The next day it was about 30 when I tried again and it worked great. I quickly threw it in the trash and replaced it with a better lock. If you live in a warm environment, this castle is great. If you live in a cold place and need a safe lock for the winter, avoid this at all costs.
