This is an economical solution if you need to clean a medium sized line from time to time. It's not as good as a motorized drill, but of course it's part of the price. The handle assembly is useless, but not needed to use the slug. A few suggestions I've found here in the comments and in YouTube videos will greatly improve your experience: - Take a 5 gallon plastic bucket to store it. When you're done with that, roll the drill into a bucket. - This auger is not made of stainless steel. It appears to be mild steel and will rust in a few hours. To prevent this, take a can of WD-40 and spray the snail while it's in the bucket. The bucket prevents overspray from splashing everywhere. Do not attempt to use the handle assembly. Buy strong cable ties instead. Insert the drill into your line until you meet resistance. Roll the remaining snail into an 18-inch circle and secure with a zip-tie to hold it in place. You now have an 18 inch lever to turn the auger. Rotate clockwise. If you leave the zippers a little slack, you can feed them in several inches at a time and break the blockage. Put on gloves and goggles. It's a pretty strong spring and it will strike back. Don't lose sight of that stupid clogged drain. Whatever you do, you will end up with kinks in the snail. Throw it away when they get too bad. Metal tires with use and will eventually break. It's a lot cheaper to buy a new one than having someone remove a broken auger from your pipe.
