A replacement 1996 Dodge Ram rear ABS sensor mounted on top of the rear axle housing. I also had to rebuild the 4 foot wiring harness that connects to this sensor. The resistance at these contacts should be between 1 kΩ and 2.5 kΩ. Before installation, it is recommended to measure the resistance of the sensor, which should be between 1 and 2.5 kΩ. On a 1996-1997 Dodge Ram and possibly later you can get an ABS light on the dash to give you a blink code that shows the nature of the fault by grounding a pin on the OBDII connector.
