This camera is great. If you don't want to permanently mount a rear camera, this is for you. While it's obvious and written at the top of your license plate, it doesn't really look out of place or weird. It can also be mounted higher above your plate with a small modification. The picture quality is excellent. It should be noted that the "guidelines" are somewhat useless as they obviously don't rotate with the car so cutting the loop wire removes them. I personally suggest doing this. I also turned off the guides on my stereo so I could watch the show unhindered. Another thing to note is that the lights on the camera are bright white LEDs, not IR. If you're using it as a backup camera, make sure you connect it to a backup light, not a constantly hot one. Otherwise it stays on all the time. If you plan to use it for something else, note that those bright white LEDs will be on when the camera is on. They do help with the picture though, and even late at night when it's raining the picture is really clear. The field of view is fairly wide, but not so wide that you lose the ability to judge the area covered. I'm not sure what degrees it is, I would guess 110 to 130. That's enough to see everything you need within reason. I've been using it for a month now and I'm very happy with its performance. As said, the picture is very clear, the field of view is easy on the eye. And the built-in LEDs, in combination with the reversing lights, provide sufficient light for the sensor. If you're on the fence, get it!
