I've used it about 3 times in fresh and salt water to transport a 2018 Hobie Outback Kayak. I use it on a 2011 Toyota Avalon with a sunroof. So far no problems. I use all the straps that come with it. That means I also tie it to the trunk lock with a rope, front and back. All 3 trips were on track in 30-35 minutes one way at around 80mph. Based on feedback from people I actually know but use a different note system. I don't leave it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week because I've been told that when it rains water can get in because the straps go where the car door seals are. It can happen that your car's door rubbers get damaged over time if you don't take care of them. So be careful and use your common sense.
