Heavy, strong, wide and remarkably short. Patterned groves are beautiful and functional (no slipping). I use it as a footstool and as a step stool. I'm about 5 feet tall and my feet don't touch the floor when I'm sitting in a chair. It sits 6 inches off the ground so perfect for my short legs. My knees don't hurt (I sit cross-legged without them) and my legs don't go to sleep, just hang down not touching the ground. I also use it to grab things in high places because it's so durable. It's heavier than most step stools I own, but I definitely feel more confident on it. What it lacks in height (only 6 inches) it makes up for in surface area. I'm not afraid to grab heavier or larger items from the high shelf because it doesn't wobble at all, gives me more surface area (16" x 13") to fidget, and is so sturdy. That's the perfect height. sitting and eating with me for my 19 months. I like the design because it kind of evenly distributes her weight so I'm not afraid of her tipping over (unlike some of the plastic step stools I have). Warning: The legs protrude about 1-2 inches from the stool and my daughter tripped over them.
