I purchased the Sony Full Range Portable Stereo Boombox in January 2018. After a few months the CD player stopped working. Sony customer service was very nice and sent me a shipping label to exchange for a new one. Within a week I received a second CD player. Now the whole product is on edge. The CD player stopped working, you can't turn off the machine - you have to unplug it. The AM/FM radio works fine, but you have to turn the device off to turn it back on. The digital display shows CD and Read when I turn it on, and I have to press the AM/FM button again to go back to the radio I was listening to. The sound was always good. However, the product is of very poor quality. I've always had good mileage and trusted Sony products, but I won't be returning this for a third exchange. It goes to the processing. I will always buy another brand. I was also very gentle with the machine as I was the only one using it for 2 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the evening so it was never roughly handled. I have never experienced anything like this and felt I should warn customers. Perhaps a particular production line was defective. Who knows.
