Okay, not exactly individual and very close.
It works but doesn't hold my metal detector well due to the lack of a locking mechanism. The mount is pretty decent, but keeps the detector further in the car (away from the windshield) than I'd like. Finally, the connection to the mirror is brilliant. I wish the instructions were a bit better and the wires fit better.
